I ordered one too at the same I read Bones' reply on Oct 26th. I haven't received anything yet either, and I don't believe I ever will. Cypress did state that supplies were limited and with all of America to service first I think Dingo was very lucky to get one! Mumble grumble he has all the luck grumble ;D Did you receive yours Bones? I really would have liked one to play with, because I can't justify spending USD$99 plus shipping and handling just to see if a PSoC is any better than a PIC with some external op-amps. But I do like the idea of the PSoC with CapSense TM capacitive sensing - that would be ideal for "touch sensitive skin/fur". A layer of Al foil between some foam and teddy-bear material and hey presto a pet robot that can respond to some lovin' touch - too good. oh man, who farted?

Yeah I'm alive...just ....... I've been sick as a dog the last week, man I hate being sick during a Queensland summer Um, the trick with the Cypress SoC kit is that it is has fairly limited software support unless you want to send on a heap of stuff. (Too used to being spoiled with AVRs ) Futurlec do have a Cypress SoC programmer board for USD$45. Yeah, I've had very little time to do much in the last 3 months with my new job. I now work for ASIC as a Lawyer in the Enforcement directorate which is fun but does take up more time than my old job. I will try to get some photos of a bot that I half constructed before christmas - it might be useful for other Australians as I bought everything but the control board locally. Just got to stop coughing my lungs up first

I've just received an email notification that my free PSoC kit has been shipped on the 8 MAR 2007, by US Mail. (Do they deliver to Australia?)
So I'll be very interested to see when it shows up...

Yeah, I think I was one of the last to get one from the first run and now they have a second run coming through. I haven't played with it yet, it does seem the catch is that most of the software for it isn't free but hey, what the hell? right?

I also tried to order one when I saw this thread ... but was put off by the postage charge. So it is still costing me something for an item I don't know if I'll even be able to use.
But the kicker was that they LIED about the security on their payment page. There was no https://, no lock symbol in the browser - despite their statement that it was secure !
I tried emailing them, but could only find a web form ... which went to someone in a different department. I replied but haven't heard anything back.
So guys, I suspect your Credit Card details went through the internet "in the clear", and could possibly have been logged. Please keep an eye on your Credit Card accounts for incorrect amounts and unauthorised transactions.

Postage charge? What postage charge? What credit card details? All I gave them was my email address and my shipping address... It'll probably be COD then? And I won't have the cash on me and the Man will take it away. Oi!!! Get back here you with my free thingy!!! Ah. Just what is this free thing we have all ordered? It's a microcontroller guys, that has digital and analog building blocks inside it that you configure to do your bidding. The analog replaces external op-amps, DACS, filters, comparators, ADCS, etc. while the digital replaces counters, timers, UARTS, SPI interfacing, etc. You see, it really is wonderful after all Cheerios (they're more than just a breakfast food, they're a useful salutation too) Botman

Only a couple of more days and I get a new compound slide for my mill. Thats the whole table and slide thingy. The old one was a bit munted. ANs soon as I get it I will start to cnc it. Hopefully a couple of weeks and it's done.
Then to start on designing parts in 3d to machine. The lathe has worked orsm. I just have to learn how to use the software.
Bones.
