Hi everyone,
It's great to find an Australian forum for robotics! (Bones, thanks for the tip!). As you might have guessed, I live in Perth.
I don't have any experience in electronics or programming to speak of, but I was looking for a new hobby and I'd always wanted to build a robot. So here I am!
A little while ago I bought an ARobot in kit form. I thought it would be a good place to start. Turned out I was right. I've also managed to accumulate a few books and components. I've built a couple of small "breadbots" (breadboard robots) to gain an understanding of basic control circuits, and I'm now starting think about a slightly larger project.
Anyway, g'day from WA!

Hi, Finally I found another WA person. Sandgroper and his brother came over the other weekend and I showed off my stuff and cnc gear. The ARobot was a nice unit. A fairly desent size with a lot of expandability.
Cheers Bones

Bones, do you think any of the other states can DOUBLE THEIR MEMBERSHIP in one fell swoop? ;D
Nice CNC on the lathe, by the way! Very impressive!
